Location: Hampton, VA 23665
Pay rate: $48/hr.
Duration: 12 months with extension options up to 5 years
Work Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours weekly | Monday - Friday, 07:30 AM - 04:30 PM
Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing support for utilization management activities within a military healthcare setting.
- Collaborate with healthcare personnel and other healthcare facilities to support appropriate patient care.
- Assist with coordinating referral appointments and healthcare services.
- Serve as a point of contact between healthcare staff and beneficiaries regarding plans of action and available healthcare benefits.
- Support patient and family education, as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate clinical and administrative documentation.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to facilitate appropriate patient care and services.
- Follow applicable Department of Defense (DoD), Defense Health Agency (DHA), and facility policies and procedures.
- Maintain professional standards, patient confidentiality, and patient safety.
- Complete required agency and facility-specific training and comply with applicable policies and procedures.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience in utilization management or utilization review.
- Experience in care coordination, referral management, or clinical nursing.
