Prillamans Crane and Rigging Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and mechanically savvy Equipment Manager to oversee the health, compliance, and logistics of our heavy equipment and vehicle fleet. Based onsite and reporting to the Logistics & Operations division, this role is essential in ensuring that cranes and company vehicles are safe, operational, and fully compliant with industry standards. This is a full-time position ideal for a hands‑on professional with mechanical skills, a CDL, and experience in equipment compliance and maintenance management.

• Manage and oversee the scheduling of all crane and vehicle inspections
• Coordinate routine maintenance and emergency repairs with in‑house technicians
• Provide mechanical guidance to the shop team and help diagnose equipment issues
• Track and manage equipment compliance, documentation, and regulatory filings
• Handle permit acquisition for equipment and oversize load movements
• Manage Samsara fleet tracking system, telematics, and reporting
• Order and maintain inventory of parts and tires, ensuring availability and cost efficiency
• Build and maintain relationships with vendors, negotiating favorable pricing
• Track fleet usage and update asset records for operational planning
• Enforce OSHA safety protocols across equipment management practices
• Maintain communication across logistics, operations, and field teams
• Ensure documentation and compliance with federal, state, and local transport regulations

• 5+ years of experience in equipment management, logistics, or fleet operations
• Strong mechanical knowledge; ability to assist with diagnostics and repairs
• Experience obtaining permits for equipment and oversize loads
• Familiarity with fleet management systems (e.g., Samsara)
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong negotiation and vendor communication skills
• OSHA 30 Certification
• Class A CDL – Required
• Master Mechanic or ASE Certification – Preferred
• Bachelor’s degree – Preferred
• Must pass drug screening and have no criminal record
• Clean driving record
