- Manage operations and maintenance oversight of On-site Septic systems and Drinking Water systems
- Lead and supervise staff in the Environmental Resource Protection Program
- Develop, implement, and evaluate innovative strategies to address environmental and health protection needs
- Manage program budget preparation, administration, and expenditures
- Collaborate with other departments to maintain effective communication and relationships
- Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in public health, environmental science, environmental health, or a related field
- At least five (5) years of related experience, including supervision
- Experience working with the public or customers explaining environmental or health protection requirements
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and address cultural competency
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Registration as a Sanitarian is preferred but not required
- Understanding of local, State, and federal laws regarding On-Site Septic Systems and Drinking Water Systems
- Experience in program performance evaluation through the lens of racial equity
- Leadership experience in coaching, professional development, and performance management
- Interest in continuous improvement and adapting to changes in technology and environment
