Work Shift A - 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a rotating schedule, always off Sundays

Experience 1 year of previous experience in entry level Mechanical Maintenance

Tools Must provide own tools. Must have a valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.

• To maintain and promote the Tyson safety culture
• Receive training as required
• Perform various positions as required/assigned

This position is responsible for maintenance and preventative maintenance on trucks and trailers while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

• Require current valid state driver’s license
• Supply own tools for minimum maintenance
• Use basic electrical, pneumatic and hand tools
• Requires 1 year of industrial mechanical experience
• Perform PM on equipment, oil changes, greasing, repairing or replacing semi tires, brake repair or replacement on semi-trucks and trailers
• Minimum 1 year experience operating cutting torch and electric welder
• May perform air brake, electrical and air conditioning work
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb stairs and ladders up to 20 ft, bend, stretch, reach, work in extreme hot, cold, inclement weather and odors
• Read and understand assignments
• Communicate orally and in writing
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
