Job Summary:
This 18-month project position is responsible for improving housing outcomes for populations with multiple complicated issues, including persons experiencing behavioral health needs in the Homeless Crisis Response System funded by Clark County.
Key responsibilities include ensuring homeless service providers have a housing with supportive services focus, researching and staying knowledgeable on best practices for housing persons with comorbidities, providing technical assistance to contracted service providers and county staff, and improving the effectiveness of the continuum of care.

- Researching and staying knowledgeable on accepted and established best practices for housing persons with comorbidities that include behavioral health needs
- Providing technical assistance to contracted service providers and county staff regarding best practices in serving and housing persons with behavioral health needs
- Improving the effectiveness of the continuum of care by identifying Clark County homeless system gaps in services to house people with complex issues with a special focus on behavioral health
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in public administration, social work, or a closely related field and at least two years of experience in public sector contract management, especially homeless and housing programs, grant administration, project management, or a related field.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local funding sources and methods for homeless programs
- Knowledge of Housing First, Rapid Rehousing, Coordinated Assessment and Entry, Progressive Engagement, harm reduction, and other evidence-based best practices related to homelessness and housing on programmatic and systemic levels
- Experience preparing and presenting information to boards, elected officials, and other policy/decision-making groups
- Experience providing complex technical assistance and implementing research-based best practices across continuums
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated time-management and organizational skills, excellent interpersonal communication skills, and strong analytical, research, and written communication skills.
