About Our Practice
The team at Kings Eye Center (KEC) joins us with one ophthalmologist, Dr. Bradley Beard, and three optometrists, Drs. Nathan Panttaja, Stacy Omon, and Ronald Keck. The practice was founded in 1955, and Dr. Beard has been with the practice since 1987. They are the only ophthalmology practice serving Kings County, located in the south-central San Joaquin Valley.
The KEC team specializes in comprehensive eye exams, diabetic and glaucoma management, cataract surgery, and glasses and contacts sold in their optical shop. Located approximately 2 hours north of San Luis Obispo, KEC becomes our 11th practice in the state of California.
Salary Range: $145,000 – $150,000 per year.
Schedule:
Full-time.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive eye exams
- Diagnose and assist in the treatment of ocular disease
- Prescribe corrective lenses
- Provide pre- and post-operative care to surgical patients
- Promote healthy vision by counseling and educating patients
- Maintain detailed patient records regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and progress
- Handle eye care emergencies
Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree
- Valid state license to practice optometry
- Ability to communicate with a wide range of patient personalities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A strong sense of workplace professionalism and personal ethics
- Customer-service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills
