Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership over three H&R Block tax offices, guiding customer-centric teams to accelerate seasonal tax business.
  • Serve as the front-line manager responsible for leadership and development of associates, delivering an outstanding client experience, and achieving office growth objectives for three offices.
  • Start with a flexible part-time schedule in the fall; transition to full-time January–April, including evening and weekend hours as needed. This role is in-person and not remote.
  • Lead daily team meetings, create associate work schedules across all offices, ensure accurate timekeeping and labor management, and travel between offices as required.
  • Prepare tax returns as needed, upon successful completion of the Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment.
What you'll bring to the team
  • Manage office staffing, operations, and logistics for multiple offices with support from Associate Team Leaders.
  • Partner with the District General Manager to create and implement office growth plans and client growth targets, including developing local partnerships and community involvement.
  • Assist DGM in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office positions.
  • Conduct timely performance reviews and resolve associate issues in partnership with the Associate Relations Center.
  • Build an engaging team environment across all offices through training and coaching; recognize outstanding contributions.
  • Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office associates.
  • Travel between offices as required.
  • Prepare tax returns as needed, after completing the required tax courses/assessments.
Your Expertise
  • People management experience with demonstrated ability to grow and develop associates.
  • Aptitude for executing growth plans and fostering a growth culture.
  • Strong decision-making and judgment in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-centric mindset.
  • Computer proficiency with MS Office.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or high school diploma with equivalent experience.
  • Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns).
