Retail Sales Associate - Part Time - 2386 at First Cash

Salary: $15.00 to $18.00 per hour, with a commission structure of up to 8% on transactions – additional compensation may average $1.00 per hour on top of the hourly rate.

Entry‑level, part‑time sales associate in pawn store locations nationwide. Partners with store staff to deliver customer service on both lending and retail sides. Greets, engages, and processes sales, loans, and other transactions with jewelry, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and general merchandise.

• Greets and interacts with customers, recommending appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
• Maintains a clean, stocked sales floor and displays merchandise.
• Executes sales and loan transactions in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Handles cash and negotiable items per established procedures.
• Answers incoming calls according to company standards.
• Explains legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers in a respectful manner.
• Partner with all employees to create a positive customer experience.
• Completes assigned training.
• Other related duties as assigned.

• Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting).
• Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification if required.
• May be asked to assist customers outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage.
• Minimum age: 18 years.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Strong desire to serve customers and work in a team environment.
• Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
• Basic math proficiency.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
• Must work flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and office machines.

The commission incentive plan is proprietary. Pawnbrokers may earn 2‑8% commission based on gross profit of individual performance. Details are provided during the interview process.
