Sr. Business Analyst, Technical Product Management - BI

Location requirement: Must be currently located within 2 hours of Whippany, NJ or Pittsburgh, PA.

Overview

The Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst collaborates with product managers, owners, software engineers, QA, and operations to deliver market‑leading BI capabilities on Connective Rx’s integrated platform services. The role partners with business teams to define user requirements and acceptance criteria for reporting insights, manage project backlogs, and implement new applications and system enhancements aligned with corporate strategy.

Responsibilities
  • Lead business requirements discussions with stakeholders to ensure user stories are complete and clearly understood.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for reporting and logic questions and as a subject‑matter expert translating business processes and data into actionable insights.
  • Coordinate project scoping and planning with cross‑functional teams; lead discovery sessions and requirements‑gathering activities; document process flows to identify actors, inputs, outputs, and dependencies.
  • Write simple SQL queries to analyze data; review BI dashboards; map business requirements to appropriate database fields; ensure data integrity across multiple sources.
  • Create mockups and prototypes for user testing and product evaluation; define epics and user stories; support development of training materials and new applications; assist with training.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to define API requirements; interpret and document technical specifications such as data dictionaries and API documentation; prepare and prioritize backlog items for agile ceremonies; refine user stories and create testable acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure validation methods are in place and promote clear internal communication among software development, product management, and other functional groups.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum 3+ years of data analysis experience within an agile software development environment.
  • Experience defining or building reporting insights using Tableau, Power BI, or Looker is required.
  • Working knowledge of technical specifications—APIs, JSON, XML, and data dictionaries—is required.
  • SQL and general data analytics experience are required.
  • Looker and AWS experience are preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with healthcare data and knowledge of BI platforms such as Looker, Tableau, and Power BI are important.
  • Strong proficiency in gathering, documenting, and communicating business requirements; ability to analyze problems and understand complex solutions through collaboration with developers, planning, testing, and reporting.
  • Clear and effective communication in written and verbal formats is needed.
Compensation & Benefits

Posted salary range: USD $80,500 per year.

Bonus or commissions available; total compensation varies by location, relevant skills, experience, and capabilities.

Occasional travel may be required.
