We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Net View Engineer to support enterprise IBM z/OS environments through advanced automation, monitoring, and operational resiliency solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering IBM Net View for z/OS, developing automation solutions using REXX and CLIST, implementing message-driven automation, and supporting critical infrastructure monitoring and recovery processes.

- This role requires employees to live in or around the Phoenix, AZ or Charlotte, NC or Plano, TX area. You will be responsible to be onsite 3 days a week. We will consider candidates who are willing to relocate to one of the areas listed.

• Administer and maintain IBM Net View for z/OS environments.
• Configure and support Net View automation infrastructure.
• Monitor Net View performance, availability, and operational effectiveness.
• Manage Net View definitions, policies, and operational controls.

• Design and develop automation solutions utilizing:
  • REXX
  • CLIST
  • Net View Command Lists (CMDLISTs)
• Develop automated recovery procedures and operational workflows.
• Create reusable automation frameworks to improve operational efficiency.

• Implement and maintain:
  • Event-driven automation
  • Message automation solutions
  • Automated notification processes
  • Automated escalation procedures
• Configure and maintain Automation Tables (AUTOTBL).
• Design message-processing rules to identify, classify, and respond to system events.

• Implement proactive monitoring and alerting solutions.
• Support enterprise event correlation and alert management.
• Develop automation to reduce manual operator intervention.
• Participate in production support and operational incident resolution.
• Perform root cause analysis for infrastructure and automation failures.

• Integrate Net View automation with:
  • z/OS Communications Server
  • VTAM
  • TCP/IP
  • OMEGAMON
  • Enterprise monitoring platforms
• Support automation across Sysplex environments.
• Collaborate with operations, network, security, and systems programming teams.

• 7+ years of experience with IBM z/OS operating system
• 5+ years of IBM Net View administration and automation experience.
• Strong hands‑on development experience with REXX, CLIST, and Net View automation.
• Proven experience designing event‑driven operational automation solutions.
• Demonstrated success supporting highly available enterprise mainframe environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure incidents and implement long‑term resiliency improvements.

• Knowledge of CICS, DB2, IMS, MQ, and related z/OS subsystems.
