Cook

A Cook is responsible for preparing all food items based on standardized recipes for the Restaurant/Dining Outlet, Cafe, Room Service, Employee Cafeteria, and Banquets, while maintaining the highest standards to produce an appealing and appetizing product. He/she is also responsible for ensuring cleanliness, sanitation, and safety in the kitchen and work areas, while minimizing waste and maximizing cost/production ratio.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Approach all encounters with guests and associates in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Maintain regular attendance in compliance with company standards.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including proper uniform and name tag.
• Comply with all safety, sanitation, and operational standards and regulations.
• Ensure thorough knowledge of menus and food preparation standards.
• Prepare and display food items according to established recipes and standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all storage and work areas.
• Complete food and station preparations prior to opening to ensure prompt service.
• Assist in the preparation of banquet foods following event orders.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and maintain cleanliness.
• Practice safe work habits to prevent injuries.
• Attend meetings and perform other duties as assigned by management.
