Lead Software Development Engineer working with .NET, Python, Angular, Java, Azure, and related technologies on Risk and Analytics for Met Life Investments.
Location & Work ModelHybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in office.
CompensationSalary range: $118,800 - $158,400. Eligible for annual short‑term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
Key Responsibilities- Work with product teams to solve and support risk applications related to Market, Credit, and Counter party risk, interacting with front office, middle office, risk, and back‑office users daily.
- Lead full‑stack development using .NET and cloud technologies with exposure to Java and Python.
- Translate business requirements into quality software and collaborate with analysts and business to build fully vetted products.
- 7‑10 years of software development experience, primarily in .NET and Azure.
- Experience with JavaScript/React/Angular, and cloud solutions (Azure services such as Service Bus).
- Strong database skills, object‑oriented programming, design patterns.
- API‑driven solution stack, data processing, reactive architecture.
- Experience with Dev Ops pipelines and/or infrastructure automation.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and cross‑team collaboration.
- Ability to build, deliver, and operate complex cloud‑based systems (Azure or AWS).
- Agile software development experience.
- Test‑driven development and continuous testing.
- Exposure to modern AI concepts such as generative AI.
- Full‑stack engineering with maintainable code.
- Experience with Java and Python.
- Experience with Numerix, Murex, and Calypso.
