Vacuum and UHV Equipment Technician

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, inspect, and identify vacuum and UHV equipment, including diffusion, cryogenic, and other pump types.
• Assist in the identification and classification of surplus vacuum equipment, even when little documentation is available.
• Collaborate with inventory, sales, and technical teams to provide expertise and guidance on vacuum systems.
• Stay updated on trends and advancements in vacuum technology to apply best practices.

• Hands‑on experience working with vacuum and UHV systems in a technical capacity.
• In‑depth knowledge of vacuum and UHV equipment.
• Proven ability to identify and evaluate vacuum and UHV equipment, including older and less common systems.
• Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate inventory and service records.

• Experience with high‑vacuum or ultra‑high‑vacuum (HV/UHV) systems and components.
• Background in scientific, industrial, or research environments where vacuum equipment is commonly used.
