In this energetic role, you will craft beautiful, age-appropriate braids and hairstyles that make every child feel special. Your expertise in hair care, styling, and customer service will help create a welcoming environment where kids can express themselves confidently. • Perform a variety of braiding techniques tailored for children, including classic braids, box braids, and fun styles that suit each child's personality
• Maintain high standards of sanitation and hygiene by properly cleaning tools and workstations after each client
• Consult with parents and children to understand their styling preferences and provide expert advice on hair care and styling options
• Use salon software such as MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records, and track service history
• Assist with retail sales of hair care products, hair extensions, and accessories to enhance the client experience through upselling and product recommendations
• Ensure all services comply with safety standards, including sanitation protocols
• Support store management with front desk duties, client communication, and mentoring new team members when needed

• Proven experience working in the beauty industry with a focus on hair styling, braiding, or barbering; experience working with children is highly preferred
• Certification in Cosmetology or Barbering from an accredited program; knowledge of sanitation practices is essential
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children and their parents or guardians
• Familiarity with salon software such as Mangomint for appointment scheduling and client management
• Ability to perform retail math for upselling products confidently while maintaining excellent customer service standards
• Passion for creating fun, safe environments where children feel comfortable and valued
