ScheduleMonday through Friday, 8 hours per day between the hours of 7:30-5:30 (40 hours per week)
Qualifications- Required:
Associates or equivalent combination of education and experience; 9 credits in Early Childhood Education - Preferred:
Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education
- Curriculum and Teaching – 40%:
Articulates program goals, assists with classroom curriculum planning, supports activities for children's learning, observes and records progress, assists with special events and field trips. - Classroom Management – 40%:
Maintains organized classroom, assists with transitions, establishes behavior guidelines, models developmentally appropriate behavior, ensures safety and security. - Health and Safety – 5%:
Ensures children's safety, implements health policies, handles first aid, dispenses medications. - Family Relationships – 10%:
Maintains confidentiality, communicates with families, participates in conferences and events. - Center-wide Responsibility – 5%:
Provides assistance to other classrooms, collaborates on activities, participates in center committees, pursues professional development. - Additional Responsibilities – 5%:
Supervises temporary staff, coordinates meals and snacks, models positive eating habits, assumes Lead Teacher role in absence. - Demonstrates a commitment to diversity, inclusion, and cultural awareness through actions, interactions, and communications with others.
