Position Purpose In support of Residential Life's goals to build community, create continuity, and promote intellectual engagement, the Assistant Director of Undergraduate Housing plays a pivotal role in undergraduate housing assignments. This position manages assignments for various subsets of the undergraduate residential campus such as living learning programs and Greek facilities. They will also serve as point person for housing-related communications, marketing, and customer service.

Collaborates to provide the training and supervision of student interns. This position provides support to the Housing Office and students in all openings and closings and termly assignment periods.

Required Qualifications - Education and Yrs Exp Bachelors plus 2-3 years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Two years of residential life experience, with at least one year of residential life experience at the graduate level or above.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), collaboration, listening and interpersonal skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience and comfort with databases and other computerized office systems
  • Demonstrated commitment to personal and departmental integrity, creativity, collaboration, initiative, multicultural education, professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Ability to adapt personal and professional schedule to the College’s year-round calendar.
  • Ability to balance competing demands under pressure and responds positively to changes in priorities.
  • Demonstrated cultural competence; proven effectiveness in serving the needs of a diverse undergraduate student population.
  • Master’s degree in higher education administration, student development, counseling, or related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with computer systems and applications, including Microsoft Outlook, Google Drive, Star Rez, and Canvas.
