Senior Civil Engineer – Hanover, NH

Full‑time, 40 hrs per week, onsite only. Salary $120 000–$140 000. Application period opens until the position is filled.

Position Purpose

The Civil Engineer participates in all aspects of the day‑to‑day operations of the Engineering Office. Responsibilities include design reviews, field investigations, permitting, campus utility mapping, drafting, code review, construction administration, and guideline development.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with project managers, facilities staff, and external consultants on capital and in‑house design projects.
  • Conduct design reviews, field investigations, and preparation of permitting documents.
  • Provide technical oversight of projects designed by outside consultants.
  • Perform site grading, water‑sewer‑storm‑water designs, underground utility mapping, and drafting.
  • Prepare technical specifications, code reviews, and construction administration services.
  • Develop and continuously improve campus Design and Construction Guidelines.
  • Use engineering software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and ArcGIS.
  • Coordinate construction activities and conduct field inspections.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or equivalent education/experience.
  • Registered Professional Civil Engineer in New Hampshire with at least 10 years of experience.
  • Extensive experience in civil infrastructure, water, sewer, and storm drainage systems.
  • Experience in utility distribution operations & maintenance.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS, and common PC software.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Preferred: 15 years of experience in drainage, water and sewer systems, hydraulic modeling, LEED BD+C AP certification.
