Position Purpose
The Financial Analyst manages daily budgetary and financial accounting tasks, oversees issues related to assigned departments and divisional funding sources, and ensures accurate financial reporting. Reporting directly to the Assistant Director, the Financial Analyst plays a key role in providing comprehensive financial insights, supporting decision‑making, and maintaining compliance with financial policies.
DescriptionThe Analyst responds to financial data inquiries, liaises with the Controller’s Office on capital reconciliations, advises on funding source usage, reviews expense reimbursements, manages commitment databases, and supports budget preparation and journal entries. Demonstrates a commitment to diversity, inclusion, and cultural awareness through actions, interactions, and communications with others.

Bachelors or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- 4+ years of experience in financial reporting and analysis.
- Proficiency with Oracle systems and financial data management software.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proven ability in budgeting, variance analysis, and financial interpretation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with dashboards and automation tools for financial reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in higher education finance or similar complex organizational environments.
