Under the direction of the Program Manager, the Occupational Therapist provides consultation, assessment, treatment, and follow‑up of clients in the occupational performance areas of self‑care, productivity, and leisure. The objectives of treatment are to facilitate, restore and/or maintain clients’ optimal level of function. The Occupational Therapist provides intervention to address clients’ occupational performance components (physical, cognitive, and/or affective). The Occupational Therapist provides education and support to clients, families, and caregivers.
The Occupational Therapist functions as a member of a multidisciplinary hospital and/or community health‑care team.
This position may also be expected to work in outpatient contexts.
The Occupational Therapist may be required to deliver services throughout the Rehabilitation and Supportive Care Services portfolio.
About You- Graduate of a C.A.O.T. recognized School of Occupational Therapy
- Licensure with the provincial regulatory body, the Nova Scotia Occupational Therapy Regulator (NSOTR)
- BCLS certification
- Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong communication, creativity, problem来源 and organizational skills are required
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours- Permanent Full Time; 75 hours bi‑weekly
