PARTS PLANNER

Position Summary

The Parts Planner manages inventory levels, procurement coordination, and distribution of parts to support fleet maintenance operations. This role ensures that essential components are available, accurately tracked, and aligned with repair schedules.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Monitor inventory levels and forecast parts demand.
  • Coordinate procurement and vendor deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate records in inventory management systems.
  • Ensure parts availability for scheduled and emergency repairs.
  • Track open work orders and align parts with maintenance needs.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy.
  • Identify cost‑saving opportunities and optimize stock levels.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 2–4 years of experience in inventory, automotive parts, or fleet maintenance support.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo).
  • Understanding of automotive or paratransit vehicle components.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a transit or public‑sector fleet environment.
  • Technical certification in logistics or automotive technology.
