Summary of the RoleAs a Road Supervisor within our Safety Department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of our operations. You will assist with accident investigations, conduct trail checks, monitor driver performance, and support overall operational efficiency.
Responsibilities- Communicate job requirements and responsibilities clearly to drivers.
- Conduct on-the-scene accident investigations and assist drivers in preparing accident reports and safety violation documentation.
- Assist in retraining drivers involved in accidents and observe drivers on the road to correct safety issues, documenting violations as necessary.
- Serve as a liaison between drivers, clients, and the organization to resolve customer service issues.
- Evaluate and monitor driver safety and performance, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Assist the Safety Manager and Assistant Safety Manager with DOT/FTA compliance, particularly regarding drug testing.
- Provide support in dispatching, driving routes, and handling clerical tasks as required.
- Conduct trail checks to investigate route OTP failures and assist operators with vehicle maneuvering in challenging areas.
- Conduct ride‑along with drivers identified for improvement based on Lytx reports.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Monday - Friday | 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Required Qualifications- Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent. - Certifications:
Reasonable Suspicion Training (or ability to obtain during probationary period). - Experience:
Previous experience in transportation, ideally as a bus operator, lead, or supervisor. - Skills:
- Knowledge of safety practices within transportation.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent verbal communication and radio etiquette.
- Ability to lift 50-100 lbs.
- Certifications:
Additional certification in Reasonable Suspicion. - Experience:
2 years in a safety‑related role, experience with Lytx. - Skills:
- Experience with skills courses for new operators and classroom training.
- Basic knowledge of Trapeze scheduling software.
- Familiarity with ADA policies and procedures.
- Experience with MDTs and Breeze Card procedures in case of system failure.
