Nursing Laboratory Instructor

The successful applicant will be responsible for instructing and assisting nursing students with practical techniques in laboratory courses for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Collaborative) program at the Happy Valley – Goose Bay Satellite site. Duties include designing, preparing, and teaching labs; researching current evidence-based trends; collaborating with faculty and lab instructors; preparing teaching aids; facilitating student learning; grading; supervising student assistants;

maintaining supplies; ensuring safety and policy compliance; coordinating training and assessments; and supporting students outside formal lab sessions. Some evening and weekend hours may be required.

Qualifications:

3-5 years of nursing experience in acute care and community settings; undergraduate degree in nursing, with a preferred master's degree; registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador; strong computer, communication, and problem-solving skills; knowledge of nursing practices and laboratory operations; experience in instruction and assessment; teaching experience in post-secondary education is an asset.

Salary: $82,040 - $86,281 per annum (CUPE Local 1615). An upscale hiring step (Step 13) has been applied.
