Overview
The Asset Protection Specialist role at The Home Depot involves preventing financial loss due to theft and fraud and supporting safety and environmental program compliance in the assigned store or stores. The specialist uses tools to minimize loss, including identifying theft and fraud incidents, reviewing CCTV and exception reports, monitoring physical security, auditing Electronic Article Surveillance, and driving a shrink-elimination culture in the store.
Responsibilities- Prepare accurate and detailed case reports documenting apprehensions and recoveries, preserve evidence, interact with law enforcement, and testify in criminal and civil court actions as needed.
- Report hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty and perform duties in a way that minimizes risk of injury to self, associates, vendors, customers, and the Company.
- Demonstrate integrity at all times, respond to asset protection and operational concerns of all associates, and stay focused on store-specific business objectives while supporting key asset protection and operational responsibilities.
