As an Instructor you will teach music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum, work to increase student count, and ensure each student continues to grow, develop, and enjoy playing music—all while nurturing our culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect.

- Student Focused: Understands students’ needs and provides an excellent student experience. Approachable, genuine, knowledgeable, encouraging, passionate, and committed.
- Initiative: Able to identify opportunities & issues and follow through on the curriculum to capitalize or resolve them.
- Interpersonal Communication: Communicates—written and verbal—with diverse individuals, including internal and external stakeholders at all levels, in a clear, concise, positive, and courteous manner.
- Organizational
Skills:
Utilizes time, energy, and resources to manage priorities, stay on track, and achieve goals. - Adaptable: Comfortable in a fast‑paced environment and can change direction and priorities without issue.
- Teach students utilizing the Guitar Center Lessons Curriculum.
- Communicate with students or parents about progress (where applicable).
- Assist with customer service issues as needed, helping to maintain long‑term students by creating a great experience.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- 3+ years of work experience in Music, Education, or a related field, or a Bachelor’s Degree.
- Ability to pass Guitar Center specific training and certifications.
- Demonstrated competency and proficiency in the instrument you will be teaching (Drums, Guitar, Keyboard).
