Position SummaryThe Clinical Services Director serves as a key member of senior leadership. They direct operations of Social Services and patient services programs, planning, monitoring and executing quality patient care and clinical programs in compliance with regulatory standards. They oversee supervision of licensed and non‑licensed clinical therapists, act as a clinical liaison, and contribute to program development for specialized adult patient populations.
They maintain relationships with community resources, outside agencies, private practitioners, insurers, and family members and participate in regional public mental health meetings. The role operates in line with the hospital’s mission, values, policies and behavioral standards.
- Direct operations of Social Services and patient services programs.
- Plan, monitor, and execute quality patient care and clinical programs in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Supervise licensed and non‑licensed clinical therapists.
- Serve as clinical liaison with continuum of care services.
- Contribute to development of specialized adult patient programs for inpatient and continuum of care.
- Maintain relationships with community resources, outside agencies, private practitioners, insurers and family members.
- Participate in parish and regional meetings of public mental health providers.
- Apply principles of growth and development to assess patient needs and provide clinical treatment and care.
- Perform duties in accordance with the facility’s mission, values, policies, and behavioral standards.
- Minimum five (5) years of clinical experience with a psychiatric mental health population, including three (3) years in a previous clinical supervisory role in an inpatient psychiatric setting and administrative/management experience.
- Master’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Louisiana licensed Mental Health Professional (LPC, LCSW, LCSW‑BACS) required.
- Knowledge of case management, discharge planning, group leadership skills, age‑specific growth and development, crisis and behavior management, family therapy theory and practice is preferred.
- Proficient with computer software, keyboard, and office equipment such as copier, scanner, fax machine, and phone systems. Must be able to bend, lift, and reach office supplies and files.
