Director of Admissions
Responsibilities- Directs the operations of the Admissions department and ensures the quality of assessment, referral, and admissions activities through policies, procedures, performance improvement, and supervision of admissions clinicians.
- Assigns responsibilities to assure prompt response to patient needs, and oversees the assignment of physicians to admitted patients.
- Performs admissions responsibilities and provides telephonic and in‑person risk assessment and crisis intervention, initial contact with referral sources and potential patients.
- Coordinates the referral and intake process, determines appropriate level of care, and maintains communication with referral sources, families, patients, and unit staff.
- Performs duties in accordance with the ANA Standards of Practice for Psychiatric Mental Health Care and the facility’s mission, values, policies, and behavioral standards.

- Nursing degree or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Counseling, Psychology, or Human Services.
- RN, LCSW, LMFT, or LPC required.
- Prior intake, assessment, admission, and crisis intervention experience with a psychiatric mental health population required, preferably in an inpatient setting.
- 1‑2 years of management experience required.
