Long Term Futures is seeking a positive, reliable, and adaptable Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Year 1 team in a vibrant primary school in Haringey.
This role offers the chance to support pupils across the Year 1 curriculum, assist with classroom routines, and help create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.

About the Role
You will work closely with the class teacher to support teaching and learning throughout the school day. Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting with whole-class activities and guided group work.
Supporting individuals and small groups to access lessons and develop confidence.
Helping pupils with reading, writing, phonics, and early number work.
Encouraging positive behaviour and social interaction.
Preparing resources, supporting transitions, and contributing to a calm, safe learning environment.
Building strong relationships with pupils to support engagement and progress.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience working with children in a school setting is desirable but not essential.
Patient, enthusiastic, and reliable with a positive attitude.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
Keen to support children's learning and development.
Able to respond flexibly to the needs of the class throughout the day.
