KS1 / KS2 Support Assistant (SEND Experience Essential)

Are you an experienced and compassionate support professional with a background in KS1 or KS2 and SEND?

A friendly and inclusive mainstream primary school in Haringey is looking for a dedicated Support Assistant to join their team, helping children thrive both academically and emotionally.

The Role

You will support pupils across KS1 and/or KS2, providing targeted interventions and personalised support, including:

Phonics and literacy support for developing readers
1:1 and small group support for children with complex needs
Emotional and social support, fostering confidence and wellbeing
Tailored academic support to help pupils achieve their potential

This role is perfect for someone nurturing, patient, and adaptable, who enjoys working closely with children and the wider school team.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Proven experience within KS1 and/or KS2
Strong understanding of phonics and literacy programmes
Experience supporting children with SEND, including complex needs
Confidence in providing both academic and emotional support
A positive, resilient, and collaborative approach
