A welcoming and high-achieving secondary school in Haringey is seeking a motivated Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate who is considering a career in teaching and would like to gain valuable classroom experience in a supportive school environment.
The Role
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and students across Key Stages 3 and 4, supporting learning both in the classroom and through targeted small-group interventions.
Key Responsibilities
Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
Provide 1:1 and small group support to students who require additional help.
Assist with lesson preparation and classroom management.
Help students stay focused, engaged and confident in their learning.
Support pupils with additional learning needs or SEN where required.
Contribute to a positive, inclusive and structured learning environment.
Requirements
A degree in any subject (Education, English, Maths, Science or Psychology graduates are particularly encouraged to apply).
A genuine interest in education and supporting young people.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A proactive, reliable and positive attitude.
Previous experience working with young people (tutoring, mentoring, coaching, youth work or schools) is desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
