A well-established secondary school in Haringey is seeking an experienced and proactive Attendance Officer to join their team immediately.

This is a key role within the school, responsible for promoting excellent attendance, monitoring student punctuality and absence, and working closely with families, staff and external agencies to improve outcomes for students.

The Role:

Monitor and track daily student attendance and punctuality.

Accurately input and manage attendance data using SIMS.

Follow up on first-day absences and unexplained absences.

Produce attendance reports for senior leadership and pastoral teams.

Work closely with Heads of Year and safeguarding leads to address persistent absence.

Liaise with parents/carers to support improved attendance.

Support with attendance meetings and documentation.

Essential Requirements:

Previous experience working in a school setting (secondary preferred).

Strong working knowledge and proficiency in SIMS.

Excellent administrative and organisational skills.

Confident communication skills when dealing with parents and external agencies.

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information confidentially.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
