What you will do:

  • Provide day-to-day leadership and supervision to a team of social workers and practitioners, overseeing assessments, care planning, and safeguarding activities.
  • Ensure high standards of professional practice, robust decision‑making, and rigorous safeguarding across the team’s work.
  • Monitor and manage the team’s workload, ensuring timely assessments in line with Care Act requirements and performance targets.
  • Support team members through coaching, performance management, and the promotion of continuous professional development.
  • Develop and maintain effective partnerships with health services, housing providers, community organisations, and other stakeholders to deliver holistic, person‑centred support.
  • Drive service quality and continuous improvement initiatives across the assessment and safeguarding functions.
  • Lead resource management, ensuring the efficient and cost‑effective delivery of high‑quality services.
