The News Anchor is the trusted voice and face of our newsroom—delivering compelling, accurate, and engaging content across all platforms. This role combines strong on-air presence with editorial leadership to connect with audiences in a meaningful way.
* Presents news stories and other content for all platforms, including CTV Digital
* Host a Digital CTV Show
* Uphold the highest standards of journalistic integrity and production quality.
* Write and deliver clear, concise, and engaging news stories.
* Produce newscasts and provide clear direction to team members.
* Collaborate on writing, copy editing, research, and coordination of news programming.
* Report from the field as assigned and conduct interviews.
* Respond quickly to breaking news and urgent newsroom situations.
* Participate in promotional activities and community events.
* Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.
* Edits video clips as assigned.
* Writes content for the website and other digital platforms.
* Engage with viewers and users on social media.  Requirements &

Skills:

* Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism or related field, or equivalent experience.
* Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
* Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to ad-lib when necessary.
* Minimum of four years’ experience in news reporting or anchoring (varies by market size).
* Strong on-air presence and excellent news judgment.
* Broad knowledge of local and national current events, history, and key issues.
* Leadership experience with the ability to guide, motivate, and mentor others.
* Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Strong listening and problem-solving skills.
* Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
