Hospitalist Harlingen, TX- Day Shift

Overview

Valley Baptist Physician Network are actively seeking Day-shift Hospitalists in Harlingen, TX. This is a full-time, employed opportunity at Valley Baptist Medical Center - Harlingen.

• Full-time, employed opportunity based out of Valley Baptist Medical Center - Harlingen
• Shift based and does not include call; work 7 days on 7 days off back to back; holidays rotated
• Day Shift hours 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• Currently, 1 full-time nocturnist and a NP on shift between 5 p.m. and 5 a.m.
• New model will consist of 2 Physicians-Nocturnists and 2 FNP's to manage the census in house, transfer center admissions
• Average 80-100 patients per shift
• Open ICU; however the Intensivist team does most of the procedures and responds to hospital codes
• Opportunity to teach internal medicine residents if desired

• MD or DO
• BE/BC with the American Board of Internal Medicine
• Texas licensed or eligible to obtain licensure in the State of Texas
• Spanish-speaking skills a plus; however not required
