Valley Baptist Physician Network is seeking an Interventional Cardiologist to join a thriving, well-established cardiovascular group at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, TX. The provider will step into a fully built-out practice with a collegial team, strong mentorship, and a light call burden. Valley Baptist Medical Center-Harlingen is a 586-bed Level II Trauma Center and the region's recognized leader in cardiovascular services.
Practice Info
- Full-time, employed position based at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, TX
- Clinic located in the Medical Arts Pavilion, directly connected to the hospital and Cath Lab
- 4 Cath Lab suites with Cardiac, EP, and Neuro capabilities
- Da Vinci XI robotic surgical system and Cerner EMR on-site
- Access to an active clinical research department
- Optional teaching opportunities through UT Rio Grande Valley
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional patient care across the full spectrum of IC scope
- Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
- Handle device implantation and management
- Provide care in structural heart disease, arrhythmias, heart failure, and peripheral vascular disease

Shift & Schedule
- Full time
- Monday-Friday clinic schedule; approximately 25 patients per day
- 10-15 procedures per week initially
- Low call burden: approximately 3 days/month, shared across a 10-provider cardiology panel
Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Board certified or board eligible in Interventional Cardiology
- Licensed in Texas or eligible for an unrestricted Texas medical license
- J-1 or H-1B visa sponsorship available
