Provide for the physical and instructional needs of individual students with disabilities inside and outside the classroom. Assist in the implementation of individual education plans, including self-help, behavior management, and instruction. Work under the general supervision of the principal and the immediate direction of a certified teacher. Provide supervision on school buses as necessary to insure the safety of students with special needs.

Provide assistance to the bus driver in loading and unloading students who are in wheelchairs or who cannot use the bus steps.
