In this position you will be supporting our Service Coordination department with the coordination of resources, materials, tools and hired services to ensure the best service towards our marine customers. You will be working on a wide range of international service projects related to the maintenance, repair and upgrades of the assets of our maritime customers. Our customers are mainly ocean‑going vessels in the dredging, cruise, merchant and oil & gas industry.

As a Junior Service Coordinator
, you will be challenged with a wide scope of responsibilities from the early order handling in the system, procurement activities and communication towards our customers, suppliers, network stations and colleagues involved in the projects. In this position you have the chance to independently take care of service orders and to develop yourself into a Service Coordinator responsible for complete commercial customer projects.

Our customers are located in the Benelux, but the projects can be executed all over the world. As a Junior Service Coordinator, you are part of our Service Unit Central Europe. Your location is our office in Harlingen.

• In cooperation with the Service Coordinator, you will monitor the cost, quality, work conditions, safety and planning of the projects that are assigned to you.
• You take care of the preparation of the field service projects by identifying necessary parts, tools and arrange the logistics.
• You create purchase orders in the system and ensure everything is delivered on time at the right locations.
• You manage your projects with clear communication and cooperation between field service teams, customers, workshops and administration.
• You comply with Safety and ISO processes for all personnel, tools and machines to insure safety, accuracy and quality of all services.

• You hold a vocational or bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technical or maritime study.
• If you have any working experience in a technical or international working environment, this is seen as an advantage.
• You know how to instruct and guide colleagues in the field.
• Independent, creative and pro‑active.
• You are disciplined, assertive and you have strong communication skills both in Dutch and English, spoken and written.
• Good knowledge of MS Office, ERP and or Salesforce.
• Time Management skills, able to prioritize workload with support of own manager.
• Basic troubleshooting and root cause analysis knowledge.
