CAD Designer

TITLE:

CAD Designer

REPORTS TO:

Chief Technical Advisor

Prepares detailed drawings and pattern designs using CAD tools.

• Coordinates with HVAC Operations team members.
• Organizes and schedules work to accomplish project goals while meeting project budgets and deadlines.
• Maintains HVAC standards and drawing database.
• Designs frameworks for a project and creates detailed design documentations.
• Ensures drawings meet product design goals.
• Suggests improvement to the product, based on initial design.
• Aids in the selection of materials for the products.

• Experience with HVAC fabrication, including duct/pipe spooling.
• Experience with HVAC 3D.
• Performs work under general supervision.
• Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
• Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter.
• May provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group.
• Typically requires accreditation from a technical school or an applicable skilled trades program and 2 to 4 years of experience.
