Treatment Nurse

Job Summary

We are looking for a Treatment Nurse to join Golden Palms Rehabilitation and Retirement at Ensign Services. This is a part‑time position for RNs and LVNs. The role is focused on providing compassionate and professional nursing care in a community setting.

• Maintain department supplies and keep equipment operational.
• Organize, label and file charts and medical records.
• Help transport residents as needed.
• Act as an information resource for patients, families, visitors, physicians and outside reviewers in person and/or via telephone.
• Complete clerical duties for admissions, discharges, transfers, deaths and passes (e.g., transcribing orders, ordering medications, dietary changes, therapies).
• Complete lab and special examination requisitions and data entry for the medical records department.
• Greet visitors, doctors and new admissions with warmth and friendliness.
• Transcribe and verify admission orders and daily doctor’s telephone orders in a timely manner.
• Prepare medical records by reviewing and assembling paperwork in proper order into permanent folders.
• Order labs, ultrasounds and other required tests for new admissions.
• Provide direct physical and psychological nursing care during emergencies, illness or disability.
• Assist with resident rehabilitation activities, including range of motion, ambulation and monitoring of physical therapy.
• Assist in the admission or discharge of residents and coordinate with other health agencies and family members.
• Participate in in‑service training and educational programs for residents and families on skin care and preventive health.

• RN or LVN license.
• Experience in a nursing care setting, preferably in a rehabilitation or long‑term care environment.
• Strong organizational, communication and clerical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
