Overview
CT Technologist (Radiologic Technologist II) at Harlingen Medical Center – full‑time, day shift, 12‑hour schedule (7:00 am – 7:00 pm). Certified CT professional with additional modality certification required. This role specializes in operating CT scanners and X‑ray machines to produce high‑quality, cross‑sectional images that assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients.

- Prepare patients, ensure proper positioning on the CT table, and explain the procedure with empathy.
- Operate CT scanners and X‑ray machines to obtain high‑quality images while minimizing radiation exposure.
- Monitor patients for comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
- Assist physicians by identifying image quality issues, performing contrast‑agent administration, and executing designated procedures.
- Maintain quality assurance of CT scanners and X‑ray equipment; monitor performance and troubleshoot as needed.
- Maintain radiologic supplies, ensure equipment is in good operating order, and follow infection‑control protocols.
- Licensed CT technologist with valid certification from ARRT or equivalent.
- Additional modality certification (e.g., X‑ray, MRI). Minimum of two modalities.
- State fluoroscopy permit (where required).
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to radiologic practice.
- Preferred: one year of acute clinical radiography experience.
