OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST - PRN

Golden Palms Rehabilitation in Harlingen, TX is a post‑acute care facility providing long‑term, short‑term, and geriatric services. We offer a stable in‑house therapy team and excellent programs serving our geriatric clientele in their journey to recovery. We are currently seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist for our in‑house rehab program.

• Effectively screen/evaluate patients with cognitive and/or ADL disorders and develop plan of care following regulatory and clinical practice standards.
• Utilize standardized assessments and evidence‑based practice to support clinical interventions.
• Provide rehabilitative, skilled and medically necessary treatment intervention to patients with cognitive and/or ADL disorders per regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, modalities, support devices, and assistive devices.
• Assess patient’s progress and adjust treatments accordingly in the clinical record per regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• Evaluate treatment outcomes for effectiveness and modify services as needed; refer relative to outcomes.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers and other service providers related to the physical disorders.
• Communicate effectively with supervisor and health team members regarding patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans.
• Provide comprehensive discharge summary of services per regulatory and clinical requirements.

• Occupational Therapy license required.
• Open to Occupational Therapists at all experience levels. New grads welcome.
