Treasure Hills Healthcare & Rehabilitation in Harlingen, TX is a post‑acute care facility that offers long‑term care, short‑term care, and geriatric services. Our in‑house therapy team is stable, supportive, and dedicated to helping our geriatric clientele progress toward recovery. We are looking for a Full‑Time Occupational Therapist to join our rehab program.
Responsibilities- Screen and evaluate patients with cognitive and/or ADL physical functioning disorders and develop an appropriate plan of care following all regulatory and clinical practice standards.
- Utilize standardized assessments and evidence‑based practice to support clinical interventions.
- Provide rehabilitative, skilled and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with cognitive and/or ADL physical functioning disorders per regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
- Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, modalities, use of supportive and assistive devices, etc.
- Assess patient progress and adjust treatments accordingly in the clinical record per regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
- Evaluate treatment outcomes for effectiveness; modify services based on patient evaluation and refer patients as necessary.
- Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding the physical disorders.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and other health team members regarding patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans.
- Provide a comprehensive discharge summary of services per regulatory and clinical requirements.
• Occupational Therapy license required.
• Open to Occupational Therapists at all experience levels; new graduates are welcome.
