The Surgical Technologist is responsible for the following:

• Aseptic technique, setting up the required equipment, instrumentation and sterile supplies as needed for assigned cases.
• Scrubbing and passing instruments and equipment during surgical procedures.
• Pulling cases as needed, breaking down cases at the end of the procedure, and setting up the operating room and supplies needed for the day/following day’s schedule.
• Being available for call on a scheduled basis as required by unit need.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

This position may qualify for a sign‑on bonus.

The Surgical Technologist demonstrates basic knowledge and skills in the scrub role, required to provide assistance during surgical procedures performed in the department.

• Required:
  
  Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited surgical technology program.
• Preferred:
  Associate degree.

• Preferred: 1 year.

• Required:
  
  AHA BLS, Surgical Technologist certification.
