Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in various areas of law, including immigration and family law. This role requires excellent legal research, drafting, and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to litigate effectively on behalf of our clients. The Associate Attorney will work closely with senior attorneys to provide high-quality legal services and support in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as Westlaw to support case preparation and strategy development.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and contracts with precision and attention to detail.
  • Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients while advocating for their best interests.
  • Litigate cases in court as necessary, representing clients in hearings and trials.
  • Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to immigration, family, and probate law.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to develop case strategies and provide comprehensive legal services.
  • Maintain accurate records of case files and documentation to ensure compliance with legal standards.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Texas Bar.
  • Strong understanding of immigration, family, and general legal principles.
  • Proven experience in legal drafting and research.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful outcomes.
  • Ability to litigate effectively in court settings.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • We currently have offices in Houston, Texas and the Rio Grande Valley. Candidate may have to travel between both offices depending on caseload.

Pay: $67,562.07 - $81,365.07 per year
