OverviewWe are seeking a Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN), also referred to as a Telemetry RN or Tele RN, to attend to patients in our telemetry units, including those needing cardiac monitoring. The Tele RN will monitor and interpret patients' vital signs such as heart rate, rhythm, respiratory rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation. Continuous monitoring enables the Telemetry RN to gather real‑time data and make informed decisions, ensuring early detection of abnormalities or changes in the patient's condition.

Responsibilities- Assess patients' conditions, including vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and overall health status, to create individualized care plans.
- Monitor patients' cardiac rhythms and vital signs using telemetry equipment, allowing for remote monitoring of heart rates and rhythms.
- Communicate with physicians regarding changes in clinical condition, cardiac monitoring results, diagnostic studies, and symptomatology.
- Administer medications as prescribed, including IV medications, and monitor for adverse reactions.
- Provide hands‑on care, including wound care, administering treatments, assisting with activities of daily living, and offering emotional support.
- Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, treatments, and self‑care practices in the Telemetry Unit.
- Respond quickly to changes in patient conditions, addressing concerns to physicians promptly.
- Ensure safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Current and valid state RN license.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and ongoing maintenance.
- Basic arrhythmia interpretation within 30 days of hire.
- Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and ongoing maintenance.
- Preferred: prior acute‑care hospital experience.
- Preferred: ventilator management experience.
- Preferred:
Medical‑Surgical Nurse‑Board Certified (RN‑BC) or similar certification. - Preferred:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
