Advance Practice Provider (APP) role at The US Oncology Network
, Texas Oncology Harlingen. This full‑time position supports the Medical Oncology Department (Mon‑Fri 8:00 am‑5:00 pm). This role may be Level 1, 2 or Sr depending on experience. Texas Oncology is a large community provider with >600 providers at 220+ sites. The mission is to deliver high‑quality cancer care within communities.

• Direct care and management in outpatient, inpatient and surgical settings, including documentation, patient/family education, ordering and reviewing diagnostics, prescribing medications, symptom management, counseling and support, collaborating with other providers, and educating staff, students, and the community.
• Interdependent practice with collaborative physician(s) and team.
• Proficient use of Electronic Health Record in delivery of care and complete documentation per Texas Oncology policy and guidelines.
• Build strong collaborative relationships across the organization and the local medical community.
• Perform diagnostic/therapeutic procedures as appropriate.
• Participate in tumor board, institutional trainings, and meetings as required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Nurse Practitioner
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing school and successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Level 1: 0–3 years experience.
  • Level 2: 3+ years experience.
  • Level Sr: 6+ years experience.
  • RN state licensure and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state.
  • Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required.
• Physician Assistant
  • Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current NCCPA certification.
  • Level 1: 0–3 years experience.
  • Level 2: 3 years experience.
  • Level Sr: 6 years experience.
  • Current state license as a Physician Assistant in the practicing state.
  • Basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required.
• Clinical Nurse Specialist
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and successful completion of a Clinical Nurse Specialist program.
  • Level 1: 0–3 years experience.
  • Level 2: 3 years experience.
  • Level Sr: 6 years experience.
  • RN state licensure and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state.
  • Current state licensure as a Clinical Nurse Specialist.
  • Basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required.

Physical demands include handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, eye‑hand coordination, standing and walking for extended periods, and occasionally lifting up to 40 lbs. Corrected vision and hearing to normal range is required.
