Security Guard - Retail Patrol Driver

As a Security Guard – Retail Patrol Driver in Harlingen, TX
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail locations to help create a secure environment for shoppers and staff. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for patrolling the premises by vehicle and/or bike as required.

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns.
• Offer assistance and information to customers and staff as needed, maintaining a visible presence on the premises.
• Support emergency response activities and communicate with Allied Universal management and local authorities as appropriate.
• Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities according to site and Allied Universal guidelines.

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• At least one year of experience in an armed security-related, law enforcement, or military role is required.
• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• You must be at least 21 years of age.
• Level III armed certification is required for positions in Texas only.
• You must be able to ride a bike.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
