Delivery Driver

Job Description

Support warehouse operations by transporting materials over designated routes; ensuring safe operation of vehicles. Provide excellent customer service by making prompt and courteous deliveries of customer orders. Ensure that material loaded on the truck is as listed on the Ship Ticket and Delivery Manifest and is secured for safe transport from store to delivery location. Unload materials for customers at each delivery location in an orderly fashion while verifying that material being unloaded is correct based on the Ship Ticket.

Perform daily detailed inspection of vehicle to ensure general maintenance and safety of vehicle. This is a safety-sensitive position; the ability to work in a constant state of awareness and in a safe manner is imperative. Candidates offered employment must undergo a pre-employment drug test. This test screens for drugs including amphetamines, cocaine, marijuana, methamphetamines, opiates, oxycodone, and phencyclidines, following the cutoff levels set by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid Driver's License in state of residence with 3 years driving history.
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record with no type A violation; or no more than one type B violation in the past three years.
• A minimum of 1 year of driving experience within the past 36 months, operating a commercial motor vehicle with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 10,001 lbs. or more preferred.
• Read, comprehend, write, perform calculations, input accurately, reason, and analyze.
• Function independently, completing various tasks accurately with close attention to detail.
• Hiring both CDL and Class C drivers.
