📍 Harlow / Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire (with hybrid working options)

We are a progressive Main Contractor with a strong track record in delivering refurbishment and construction projects across London, the South of England, and the Midlands. Our projects span a wide variety of sectors, and we pride ourselves on consistently delivering high-quality work to valued clients.

As an Estimator, you will play a central role in producing accurate, detailed, and competitive cost plans and tender submissions. You'll collaborate with internal teams and a strong external supply chain to evaluate all costs, identify risks, and ensure commercially viable proposals.

• Analyse drawings, specifications, and contract documents to fully understand project scope.
• Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities, Schedules of Work, and cost breakdowns.
• Source quotations from suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring best value.
• Undertake site visits where required to gather information and assess risks.
• Work closely with the New Business Team to produce compelling, accurate tenders.
• Support in negotiations and presentations to clients when required.
• Track and report on market rates, industry trends, and competitor activity.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and industry standards at all times.

• Previous experience as an Estimator within the construction or built environment sector (main contracting experience desirable).
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to produce accurate costings.
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and estimating software (e.g. Conquest, Causeway, or similar).
• Organised and methodical with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Confident in liaising with clients, consultants, and subcontractors at all levels.
• A collaborative team player with a professional approach.
