Assistant / Intermediate Project Managergap construction are proud to be representing a successful, Cambridge-based construction consultancy in their search for an Assistant / Intermediate Project Manager to support the delivery of projects across the Harlow area.
Our client has developed an excellent reputation for providing specialist project management, cost management and building surveying services across a variety of sectors.
Following continued growth, they are looking to strengthen their team with an ambitious Project Manager who is keen to take the next step in their career.
This role would suit an Assistant Project Manager or Intermediate Project Manager looking for greater project exposure, responsibility and the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals within a collaborative consultancy environment. The successful candidate will be expected to attend the Cambridge office one to two days per week, alongside visiting project sites.
Performance Objectives- Support the successful delivery of construction projects through all stages of the project lifecycle
- Assist Senior Project Managers with project coordination, reporting, programming and delivery planning
- Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors and wider project teams to ensure effective communication
- Attend meetings and produce accurate records, actions and progress updates
- Assist with monitoring project performance against programme, cost and quality expectations
- Support procurement, tendering and contract administration activities
- Build strong working relationships with key project stakeholders
- Ensure projects are delivered in line with health and safety, quality and statutory requirements
- Degree qualified in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a similar construction-related discipline
- Experience working within a consultancy, contractor or client-side construction environment
- Strong understanding of construction processes and project delivery
- Confident communicator with strong organisational skills
- Ambitious and keen to progress within project management
- Interest in achieving professional qualifications such as APM, RICS or equivalent
- Full UK Driving Licence preferred
