Job Description

We are currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work across primary schools in the Harlow area. This role offers full-time agency cover with opportunities for permanent positions for the right candidates.

You will be supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them to access learning, develop independence, and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN
  • Assist pupils with learning, behaviour, and emotional needs
  • Support teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
  • Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies
  • Encourage positive behaviour and social development
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff
  • Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all pupils
Requirements
  • Previous experience working in schools (essential)
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEN (essential)
  • Valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patient, caring, and adaptable approach
  • Ability to work across different school settings
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
